Progress Report.

Still no sign of this handsome fellow. But Yesterday I spent hours looking up Addresses for local Farms, writing little notes on some of the posters and stuffing them in envelopes to post out. Hopefully he'll here something back. Still no word from the council or the vets they use, (road cleansing, if you know what I mean) Which is great news! It means he hasn't been run over. And no news from cats protection, so nobody has called in there about him either. So although he hasn't been spotted in the village, I'm pretty convinced he's out and about with females that have come into season.
Unfortunately, apparently, male cats can smell females in season up to 7 miles away!! So he could be pretty far away by now. But I've done all the farms in just over a 5 mile radius, if no word from them, I'll do 8 or 10 mile radius next week. See how it goes.
If the weather stays nice, well, dry would be great, I plan on taking the kids to the park, my friend wants to take them for a picnic, if it's nice enough for that, I think we'll head a bit further off. Either way, I'm going armed with laminated posters and a staple gun!
I keep dreaming he's come home, sitting on the windowsill shouting to be in. Hopefully my dream will come true soon.

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day to all the Mum's out there, Whether they're still with us or not. My Mothers Day has been lovely so far, and i'm still being spoiled yet!! It's brilliant! Only my cat is missing from the picture. *Sigh*My lovely cards, and cuddly bear from my youngest, Little D. A made me the purple card, and a lovely diploma declaring me the best Mum in the world. Lovely.

Beautiful Tulips from darling Other Half and the kids. So pretty! Also, not pictured is the Huge box of Thorntons chocolates that we all shared earlier. Lovely! That was after my cooked breakfast in bed! There was so much of it I could only eat half. lol. I am being well and truly spoiled, Other half has a 3 course meal all planned out for later too! Aren't I so lucky?!
This photo is Tyson. Fast asleep as usual. One of the laziest dogs I have ever met! He's a sweetheart though, and has fitted in very well with us. The best news from his point of view is... I finally got him to play!! With a giant frisbee of all things, ha ha! But he will catch it and he's even taking it back. So He's happy, and I'm thrilled he's finally confident enough to learn how to play. He and Tara will be getting a bath later, but shhhh!! Don't tell them!
Tara, bless her. She's depressed, she misses the cat, even though he wasn't always very nice to her. She still loves him. She's a big softie.
We have posters up, and all the local vets, cat's protection etc have our number, but to be honest, I don't hold out much hope. He'll be miles away with lots of females. Not likely to be able to find his way home. But i'll be posting posters to the surrounding farms too. Just in case. Not giving up yet. Hopefully when most of the cats are out of season, i'll get him back. Fingers crossed anyway.

I hope you are all having a lovely day, especially all the mothers out there! Enjoy it!
